In the words of Cady Heron, the limit does not exist for how many people can play in a Homeschool Hunt. This virtual game format is built for remote and distributed teams of any size. The larger the group, the more entertaining the game submissions. Our largest event to date was a 3,000-person, week-long competition. Think you can beat that?
Homeschool Hunt games last 2 hours, but we’ve run everything from a punchy 90-minute lunch game to a week-long company-wide competition. Let us know how much time you have, and we’ll help you figure out the right virtual format for your team.
Yes, the Homeschool Hunt is designed for distributed teams, even if they’re time zones apart. Teams can play together whether they’re spread across three cities or three continents. They just need to be awake and have internet access!
We can’t give away too much, but expect a mix of brain-teasing puzzles ranging in difficulty, and creative video challenges like the ones above. They’ll have your team debating, laughing, and questioning everything they thought they knew. 10,000+ players have rated their experience a 9.2 out of 10, so we’re doing something right.
All players need is the Handstand Hunt app (available on any phone) and internet access to play the game. To collaborate with teammates, they’ll also need a computer to join a video call with each other. Before the start of the game, we send you a custom game link to log in to the app, and then it’s off to the races.
Teams are scored on riddles solved, solving speed, and the creativity and quality of their video submissions. At the end of the game, players vote on other teams’ videos, which allocates the final remaining points before a winner is declared. The team with the most total points wins! But honestly, the real prize is the footage you’ll have of your coworkers doing silly things on camera.
We've run hundreds of Homeschool Hunts, put on virtual and hybrid competitions for thousands of players at companies like LinkedIn and Vimeo, and even designed a tabletop escape room to connect employees across the globe. So yeah, we'd say you're in for a great time.
