About Us
Born from fun
We didn't set out to build a team-building company. We set out to create things you'd literally spend your entire weekend doing. The company part came later.
Our Story
How it all started
In 2014, we were just a group of friends who kept going on crazy trips together. We're talking a bike ride from San Francisco to Anchorage, Alaska, 200-mile, 2-day relay races, and the kind of experiences that sound made up when you tell people about them later.
Something kept happening on those trips: we'd come back closer than ever. Not in a vague, corporate-retreat kind of way—in a real way. We were becoming genuinely better friends as a function of these shared, somewhat challenging experiences. And we wanted to share that kind of friendship with more people.
“Make it a great day or not – the choice is yours.”— Gil (The Legend)
We couldn't take everybody on a bike ride to Alaska. But we could host a crazy 12-hour, 100-riddle scavenger hunt all over San Francisco. So we did. We called it The SF Hunt, and roughly 1,000 people show up to play every year. We expanded that event to six cities nationally, and it's still going strong.
After every event, people kept coming up to us asking if we could run something this fun for their company kickoff, their sales kickoff, their team offsite. We said no for about two years. But by 2016, we realized people genuinely wanted what we had to offer. So we started our private events business—and it took off.
Since then, we've entertained over 52,000 people at 300+ events for companies like Google, LinkedIn, Stripe, Vimeo, Dropbox, and hundreds more. Teams can tell we were truly born from fun. We didn't set out to create a classic team-building events company—we wanted to create things people would actually choose to do on their day off.

The events that made us who we are

1,000-Person Scavenger Hunts
What started as a 12-hour, 100-riddle scavenger hunt in San Francisco grew into a national event series across six cities. We still host The SF Hunt every year—roughly 1,000 people show up to play.

Running & Biking Relay Races
The Loop was a 2-day, 200-mile running & biking relay race with a group camping overnight experience. Because apparently scavenger hunts weren’t exhausting enough.

Real Life Mario Kart
We built Kartwheel – a real-life version of Mario Kart where players race against each other, picking up digital power-ups to force their opponents to stop and spin in circles or scream into their phones.

Handstand World Record
We set out to break the world record for most people handstanding at one time. Yes, that’s a real record. Yes, we’re that kind of company.

Pop-Up Escape Rooms
We believe our best experiences should be for everyone. So when we build one-off, bespoke events for private clients, we host pop-ups afterward so the public can experience them too.

Biked 3,200 miles in 8 days
Seven friends biked 3,200 miles from San Francisco to Anchorage, Alaska in 8 days – grinding 30-mile shifts 24/7, tackling endless climbs, fighting swarms of mosquitos, and surviving on irregular sleep.

Built different, on purpose
Craft over shortcuts
We're game designers, artists, producers, and engineers who obsess over details most people never notice. Every experience is built from scratch.
Scale without sacrifice
Whether your team is 20 or 20,000, we deliver the same level of craft and care. Most companies make you choose between quality and scale. We don't.
Improve every day
It's our motto – and it means two things. We're always getting better at what we do, and we're always trying to make someone's day better. After 13+ years, we're still chasing both.

The Team
